ABOUT

ABOUT

Tucked away in the rural country town of Goughs Bay, Fernleigh Accommodation is one of the Victorian High Country's hidden gems. With four Cottages and a large Group Lodge, there is plenty of space for everyone. Fernleigh is located on 11 acres with a mix of huge 100 year old gum trees lining the driveway, lots of open space for play and a couple of dams. Enjoy the rich history that Fernleigh has to offer with our beautiful 100 year old original homestead built by Edward Gough in 1917.

Fernleigh Accommodation is a peacefully quiet location; only a 15 minute drive from Mansfield, a 5 minute walk to Lake Eildon or a 35 minute drive to the base of Mt Buller.

Wander through our beautiful garden, relax by the pool, have a hit of tennis or explore the large open paddocks. Keep your eyes open for the many native animals that pass through our property such as kangaroos, wombats and echidnas as well as an abundance of possums, rabbits, deer and native birds. Also located on the property are 5 chickens and our beautiful Border Collie named Ash.

As of January 30th 2020, we became new owners of this beautiful property. Keep an eye on our socials because we have some great ideas which we will be putting in place within the next 12 months! With a little bit of renovating and refreshing in all the cottages and the lodge we plan to make this gorgeous property the perfect holiday escape. We hope you find that unique 'country getaway' while relaxing.

Collect your scraps from dinner to feed them in the mornings, they love veggies! Our 5 lovely hens roam the property throughout the day scratching up the soil and helping to fertilise our gardens. The chickens are very friendly and enjoy playing with our dog Ash.
